Active Release Technique Active Release Technique is a deep and very specific soft tissue manipulation. This highly successful technique boasts a very high success rate for most individuals, both athletes and not athletes. Combining active release with traditional chiropractic techniques will often provide faster and longer lasting improvement. Active Release Technique focuses on breaking up adhesions that are caused by Repetitive Strain Injuries(RSI) and Cumulative Trauma Disorders(CTD). These adhesions disrupt optimal tissue function, which in turn affects the biomechanics of the joint complex, often leading to pain and dysfunction. ART is specifically designed for dealing with and correcting these types of injuries,(knees, wrists, shoulders, back, neck, etc). Three unique elements of Active Release Technique distinguish it from all other soft tissue treatments. If performed properly. ART will accomplish all of the following goals: Restore motion of muscles and joints Release entrapped nerves, vasculature and lymphatics Re-establish optimal texture, resilience and function of soft tissue. |
